I need some help with my hair!?

My hair is naturally wavy with some curls, it's in layers, I have bangs, and the colour is auburn-brown. I blow dry my hair everyday to make it look straight/wavy and I straighten my bangs.

The problem is the back of my hair; it sticks out from the middle to the bottom of my hair and no matter what I do, I can't get it to stay flat or at least not so wild. I've tried to straighten it, blow dry it with a round brush, but I am no pro at hair styling. Could you please give me some tricks or tips to help me with this problem?

Thanks for your help in advance.

You can use a large barrel curling iron on the back take sections of the hair after drying, and pull slowly though.. the higher the heat and the slower you go the straighter your hair will come out so you have to make that choice. but it will make the back lay down and not look so wild.. if you want to leave the wave in it then use a crimping iron wide crimp same proses... have fun trying something new..

It's because of the layers. Let them grow out and don't get them again since your hair is naturally curly. If your hair was naturally straight and you had layers, it probably wouldn't do that. The blowdrying can also make it puffier. Try letting it air dry completely and then straightening it when it's totaally dry. =)

Maybe your hair is fried from blow drying it everyday. Hair never works out the way you want it when you're constantly styling it because the moisture has just been sucked out.

Don't blow dry your hair everyday, try every other day.

If you don't want to do that (I have the same problem you do except my hair is really curly), try showering in the evening, blow dry your hair, etc, and then go to bed when it's time. Since I'm laying down on my head all night, it flattens my hair. I don't know, try that out and see what happens.
