But seriously, you need to comb a layer of hair foward which will eventually form the "bump", under the hair is a mass of backcombed hair then you spray that and sleek the striaght hair you combed forward neatly over this and spray agian.

I wouldn't recommed doing this often because it will wreck your hair. I'd tell Danielle to do it always because I hope her hair and teeth drop out the racist beatch.

Buy Garnier fructis gel or curling creme put either some of each or just one of them in your hair but don't put too much at your roots. Then scrounge your hair. you can scrounge it a lot if you want it really curly or a little if you want it waving, The more you do it the easier your hair will scrounge. Then spray some Garnier fructis hair spray on your hair... This should only take you 5-10 minutes to do. depending on how long your hair is and how thick it is. But don't blow dry unless you have a diffuser because your hair will get really frizzy!!! Or you could take one of your favorite clips and pull half of your hair back.. or you could use bobby pins... Or put half of your hair up when it's straight...

Or you could just through it up in a sloppy bun that always looks really cute.... Or curl your hair under a little bit with a curling iron.. Or you could do some big loose curls with a curling iron...

depends on your hairtype. i woudl blow dry my hair if you want more volume blow dry it upside down and put some hair spray in it while your upside down and let it set. then run you fingers through it. you could also curl your hair. have fun with it. pull it back. look in hair style magazines just have fun and be creative!

one hair style that is one of my recent favorites is the poof. there are a few ways to do it. if i'm feeling lazy i'll gather my hair at the top as if i were going to do a half-up half-down pony, but then i twist it, push if forward (creating the poof) and pin it. then put your hair up or leave it down, and it looks cute if you have side-swept bangs too. another way to do this is to take the hair at the top of your head and rat it (or back-brush it, same thing) in layers so it poofs up.

i'm a girl, and everytime i take a shower a lot of my hair falls out and its frightening because i wonder if it'll keep falling out to the point of me turning bald! i hear that happens a lot to women and i dont want to be one of those bald women! i tried changing my shampoos, conditions, and stopped using any hair styling products but its not working! is this stress related, or something? how can i fix this?

Also, I've heard that some birth control pills can cause hair loss (specifically birth control pills that are very androgenic - high in male hormones). If this is the case, you'll also want to talk to your doctor.

Keep in mind that the average person sheds around 80-100 hairs per day. If you have extremely thick hair, you might shed double that amount and be perfectly healthy. I have extremely thick hair and it always amazes me how much hair comes out when I shower and when I brush my hair, but over the years my hair has never thinned. Chances are you're fine!

The first thing I want to say to you is to try not to panic. I know that is easier said than done. We lose a surprising amount of hair every day, but most of the time we don't even notice. Hair loss that is greater than "normal" is referred to as alopecia. There are many forms and causes of alopecia, and the result of each one is different, as is the treatment for each one.

One of the first things I'd like you to do is have someone you trust take a look at your scalp. Carefully look over the entire scalp from the crown of your head all the way to the hairline around your head, front, back, and sides. Are there any areas where you can see the scalp without a whole bunch of hair covering it? If there is a spot (or several spots) where the hair is very thin, then how big is he spot? A good frame of reference is the size of various coins - a penny, a quarter, and so on. It may also be helpful to take a look on the floor of the room where you usually do your hair. If you do have a hair loss problem, you will see a surprising amount of hair on the floor whenever you sweep or vaccuum the area. Taking a moment to do these things will help you figure out if you actually have a problem, or if you just happen to be noticing the normal shedding we all go through.

If you find that you have some noticable hair loss, I would strongly recommend that you go see a dermatologist. There are several skin conditions, some of which are genetic, that can cause alopecia. There is a form of hair loss called "traction alopecia" that results from wearing your hair in complicated braids and pulling your hair tightly to create certain hair styles.

Stress can cause hair loss, but that is not as common as most people think. More often in young women and girls here is a hormonal cause. Your body goes through so many changes as you go through puberty (you don't say your age, so I'm trying to cover all the bases), if you are pregnant (not to suggest you are!), or if you have a hormonal imbalance.

If you are a minor (under 18), please ask your parents to take you to a dermatologist. How your hair loss is treated depends on the specific type of hair loss you are experiencing. I think I understand how you feel, but I would never claim to know exactly. I happen to have a genetic disorder that causes a type of hair loss called "scarring alopecia", where the hair follicles scar over and the hair will never grow back. It is upsetting and it was terribly difficult to cope with until I found out what was going on. If you do have a form of alopecia, please see a doctor. There is no product on the market that you can buy that does what they claim to do. A doctor is the only one who can really help you. Please take a moment to read the information on the two websites I provided below. Then get yourself to a dermatologist so you can get some real answers from a trained professional. There is no need for you to suffer with the fear of not knowing what the problem is. No one can really understand your concerns unless they have experienced hair loss for themselves, so please do not let anyone tell you you have nothing to worry about. Well I've had the same hairstyle since I was a kid and Im looking for a change. The thing is, I can't find a hairstyle that ( I think )suites me. Im terrible at finding hairstyles so I need your help! I'll describe my facail featrues the best I can. I'm a guy, chinese and the basic shape of my head sort of looks like an upside triangle.

Here's my situation:

1.) I have a fairly large forehead. If you were looking straight at my face and I were to push back my hair, my forehead would almost seem like it reaches the top of my head. It goes straight up until about an inch above my eyebrows, then it curves back ( for two inches until it reaches my hairline).

2.) My hair is thin and I have a low hair density. When I come out of the shower you can see my scalp easily. Maybe I think I have a low hair desnity because my hair is so thin...

3.) I have little to no sideburns growing.

It flips out on it's own but I am working toward an inverted cut, looks like you have long hair from the front but in the back it's short. I have worn my hair short for years now!! Style hair while sleeping?

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to style my hair while i sleep? I don't have time to wash it in the morning because it takes at least 2 hours to dry and when i use a blow dryer it gets really frizzy. my natural hair is kinda crazy if i don't do anything to it and its really unpredictable. but when i scrunch a curly mouse on my hair damp i get these really pretty waves and curls. Ive tried sleeping on my stomach with damp hair with that product in but when i wake it not as pretty as it would be when i let it air dry . it gets straightened out and flat. so does anyone have any suggestions? thanks so much for reading all this lol

you know like princess laya kinda buns?? lol, (its only to bed) just put the product in your hair and then seperate it inot as many sections as you want, i suggest 2, and then twist your hair and itll start to wrap around into a bun...kinba like a cinnabun, lol...yeah, put those in your hair b4 you go to sleep and then in the morning you gget such pretty waves/curls, it works really well =D

if u want ur hair straight...straigthen it before you go to bed and when u sleep it should flatten out even more and when u wake up it should be smoother...this is what i usually do ....or you can put ur hair in like 2 or 3 braids and when u wake up take them out (briad them when they are wet) and ur hair will have loose waives and u can just put some gel or spray in it and u should be all set. ! hope i helped!

Use any type of styling product to help protect and shield your hair from the heat a little as well as some kind of heat protection spray. I have noticed that when I wash my hair and then blow dry it and straighten it, my hair looks real good. But for everyday use to save time I wash my hair at night and blow dry it. It looks better after blow drying because the heat adds shine and malleability to it. There's not much to do to get that 'just washed' look short of just washing it. Try a very light leave in conditioner (professional, not over the counter) to give it a little added shine. Or you can always try a shine spray, but they can sometimes leave hair a little oily.

i used to be in dance so this is what my mom did for me

- separate your hair into sections. it keeps your curls neater. you can go from bottom up, or left to right. either way.

- put mousse in the section of hair your going to curl.

- roll the curler up

- spray hairspray over the curlers

- blow dry with a cool setting (cold air helps "freeze" the style")

- give the hair at least 4 hours @ minimum to sit.

- carefully un-do the curls, from the opposite way you started.

- loosen them up by running your fingers through them a little bit

- OR hairspray it again %26amp; blowdry on low with cool air to loosen curls %26amp; harden them

This is a long shot but have u thought about having a nice warm highlight put in? I know u said u dont suit it up and i guess cutting it would defeat the object but there are lots of colours u can have put in-- give it some depth. I think a tiara would go nice with a strapless dress.

I do really love short hair, however if you want a different look there are some really cute hair pieces out these days. Most beauty supply stores carry them or look in the yellow pages for places that supply them that are near you. You could probably find cute ones on eBay. Hope this helps.

First smooth out your bangs with a flat iron. Then pull the rest of your hair back in a pony tail making a good clean part like the girl in the picture. You could even zig zag the part if you wanted it to look a bit different. Then with a medium to small size curling iron curl individual pieces of the pony tail. Take bobby pins and pin the pieces into your hair sporadically so that it covers the pony tail holder and is visible from the front. Spray and voila! Good luck!

part your hair diagonally, like you can see in the picture and pull each side up into a tight bun close to the crown of your head, but leave out a chunk in the front. Secure it with either hair ties or clips, then pull out little pieces and hairspray them into position.

I can't really see the back--there might be twists and turns, but from the front it looks like it may be this simple.

Hello everybody! I can imagine this being quite an awkward question to answer without visual aids but please try your best!

My hair, when left naturally to dry is horrible. It is quite thin, very wavy (borderline curly) and a bit frizzy. Since i have a very narrow face, straightening my hair doesn't look very nice, as since my hair is thin - it sits directly on either side of my face - making my face appear longer and narrower! Also, my ears stick out which means I can't wear my hair up (which i desperately want to do) - even if i leave bits of hair out to cover my ears - it doesn't work because my hair is thin, my ears poke through it!

If anybody knows any good hair styling sites (where there are step-by-step instructions) Or if you have any advice, PLEASE HELP - I am so sick of my hair!!

after you gat out of the shower, braid a couple braids in you hair and sleep in them. the next morning, if your hair is dry, take the braids out. don't brush them, just run your fingers through to make it look more natural. its not frizzy, but its not straight. its a curly-wave type thing. and,its so easy!

My hair is naturally wavy with some curls, it's in layers, I have bangs, and the colour is auburn-brown. I blow dry my hair everyday to make it look straight/wavy and I straighten my bangs.

The problem is the back of my hair; it sticks out from the middle to the bottom of my hair and no matter what I do, I can't get it to stay flat or at least not so wild. You can use a large barrel curling iron on the back take sections of the hair after drying, and pull slowly though.. the higher the heat and the slower you go the straighter your hair will come out so you have to make that choice. but it will make the back lay down and not look so wild.. if you want to leave the wave in it then use a crimping iron wide crimp same proses... have fun trying something new..

It's because of the layers. Let them grow out and don't get them again since your hair is naturally curly. If your hair was naturally straight and you had layers, it probably wouldn't do that. The blowdrying can also make it puffier. Try letting it air dry completely and then straightening it when it's totaally dry. =)

Maybe your hair is fried from blow drying it everyday. Hair never works out the way you want it when you're constantly styling it because the moisture has just been sucked out.

Don't blow dry your hair everyday, try every other day.

pool water will trash your hair. if you can, wet your hair and comb a little conditioner through your hair prior to getting in the pool. this will help prevent it from absorbing so much of the chlorinated water. also its a good idea to wash your hair w/ a clarifying shampoo after swimming but make sure you use conditioner or it will dry your hair out.

4. normal styling products wont ruin it, just try to go for the better shampoo and conditioner

Use some John Frieda muse, and use hairspray. The muse will make the hair less frizzy and the hairspray will make it stay. I have naturally curly hair, and it gets very poofy. (im half black and half white) So i know what you mean, i dont use gel cause it doesnt really work for me.

I use Aussie Catch the wave mousse and conditioner! it works great. My hair is the same way and leave in conditioner really helps! This is 2x better because it keeps the curl and conditions your hair.

I have the same exact hair as you, except I'm 23. LOL. Well i usually put it into a high pony tail and I have a side bang so it adds more to my face. That look is elegant, yet basic. It gives a very nice style to my hair and goes good wih everything. (I wear it to college, and even work!!) Another hairstyle is if you straighten your hair and put a cute head piece in it like from claire's ( yeah, I'm 23 and I still shop there) that look works for me just fine and since we have the same hair, it will most likely work for you. This is one at least I think looks really nice for long hair and if you know how to braid your own hair or someone at home can help you I am sure you just might agree. Part your hair in half then starting on one side take a small portion of hair about 3 inches from your forehead start a normal braid but only using a small bit of the hair on the one side. After about crossing over 4 times the hair start to gather the remaining hair tiny pieces at a time to make like a half french braid. You will only be getting the hair to add to the braid from the side that you are working on the outside part only. ONce you have taken up all the hair put something to hole it so it wont come un done and remember not to braid it tight. It should be a loose french braid. Then do the exact same on the other side. Then the tricky part is to then take the two ends and undo a tiny bit of hair so you can they braid the tips together only the tips. then put something to keep it from coming undone then you grab a hold of the two small starting braids before they became french braids and you can use a clip or tie them together then hold on to the ends and shake them slightly so the braid loosens alittle more then tuck under the ends so you cant see them and put some type of clip or tie to hold the ends up inside your hair. then use a light coat of hairspray so the braids dont come undone. If you have a full head of hair and have done the braids right you will have a badas french braid and trust you will get comments on it. Hopefully you have someone who knows how to french braid. start practicing today if you like the idea.

pony tails r 4 people who don't feel like doing their hair!!! If you want something really pretty, try french braiding your hair that lies just on your forehead and about one inch behind it. It is good to keep bangs out of your face, and it looks very pretty if you do it right. but if you don't think you can do that correctly, just braid your hair after a shower tonight. Wear your hair down tomorrow, it will be wavy and even though it is plain it is pretty.

curl it then clip it up with strands let down, bit of a messed up do, always looks good, try and clip it around your crown to give height also

I'm going to a wedding in two weeks with my new b/f. I really want to make an impression on everyone, since this will be the first time that I meet his friends, family, etc. (yikes!). I am 30 years old, and I have short hair (i.e., I can barely tuck the sides of my hair behind my ears, and the back is cut so that it is about the length of the bottom of my ears). My hair is very thin/fine, blonde, and naturally wavy/curly (with some layering). I also have bangs (about mid-forehead length), which I typically wear forward since I look funny (i.e., bad) with my hair pulled back from my face. Can anyone help me with some ideas of how I could do my hair so that it looks feminine, yet different from the way I do it every day?

its hard to say since we dont know exactly what your hair looks like, but I am thinking that a nice straightner to straighten your hair, and stick a cute little barrett in your hair. I have chin-length hair and I tried using a Bed Head mousse, Pantene Texturizing Hairspray, and a round brush so I could curl my hair around it while drying, so it would spike up- but it left my hair feeling very dry. Does anybody know any products that I could use to spike it up (NOT punk-rocker spikes), but won't leave my hair feeling so dry and such? I heard about the got2b glue, but I'm a bit concerned about the "glue" part, and I was wondering if it was too strong for what I want to do with my hair...

I have had my hair permed for 3 weeks. It is medium tight curls, and my hair has turned a slight brassy color. And I have had a bad case of dandruff for the past 3 days. I have bought 4 different shampoos, conditioners, and hair styling products to help the appearance and health of my hair. My curls are starting to fall. The top of my hair is turning slightly straight. And my hair is knotty at the ends. I have gotten hair product references from 2 salons and all the products they told me to buy SUCK! your curls could be going straight because of the weight of your hair. maybe if you try thinning it out a little it will help. for the knotty-ness of your hair, you could try putting some olive oil on it once or twice a week, this should also help with the dandruff. when you wash your hair you should use a shampoo and conditioner that is for curly hair. i would recommend using tony and guy or maybe frizz ease by john frieda.
