I naturally have very fine, straight hair with just a few waves in it. I normally take a shower on a morning, and when I let my hair dry, it usually dries in nice curls. I've tried scrunching while blowing with the hairdryer, but the curls seem to fall out and go back to normal wavy hair. Because of school, I usually just dry and straighten. Is there a faster, easier way of curling your hair, without using any hair styling gunk?
I've been told I can use straighteners, but I don't understand how to do it. Any comments appreciated, thank you!

you could start by using shampoo for curly hair, or shampoo to thicken your hair then condition. after you can use a curl scrunching gel, and some curling mousse. Then if you have it you can use a diffuser and just doing the scrunching thing you said, and if that doesn't work you can use a curling iron too, hope i helped :)
oh yea with the straightener you can just straighten it like usual but twist the straightener when gliding down.

When i want my hair to turn out curly i take a shower at night and they pull it into three diffrent buns. I no it sounds weird but it works. Divide your hair into three diffrent sections and pull your hair into a bun on the left side then another on the left and then one more in the back. Sleep with it overnight and when you wake up take them out. Then your hair will be curly becuse they were scrunched togethor all night except you dont even have to use gel or anything. Hope i helped!

If your hair is very short, you can always mousse it up and scrunch for that Meg Ryan look...always a nice look. For longer hair, try twisting it at the nape of your neck and using a chopstick, etc. to hold it. small braids that frame the face and braid back about 4 inches is a neat look, too.

i have long hair too that is wavy, and i straighten it. you can pony tail it, braid it. or you can get it cut to flatter your face, like layers towards the face, or get it streaked whatever color you like. as well you can try hot rollers for al little more body. blondes look good with a darker blonde or a light or medium brown. go see a hairdresser and get some ideas.
DO NOT SCRUNCH! Scrunch=Crunchy hair that isn't in. Use hot rollers for pretty waves, or a curling iron. Try mousse or volumizing products. They do work if you read the instructions.
I have the same problem, plus my hair is baby thin. I found that finding a stylist who gives you a GOOD CUT is the best thing. You can go to an inexpensive salon and get a great cut there or ask your friends for a recommendation of a good stylist.

get choppy layers and tell the stylist that you want your bangs to your chin (if they are that long,if not that's fine, just get them trimmed a bit). If you can get them highlights would look nice too. this haircut will frame your face and look great. On the days you want to put it up, strighten your bangs,put them in a fohawk (speed bump, bump, whatever you want to call it). it will be a lot easier because your bangs are shorter than the majority of your hair.
if by facial cream you mean like a cleanser, use Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser. It keeps you from getting pimples if you use it every day.
shoes, it depends, if you want to go for the more edgy look, buy a pair of vans that match your uniform. if you want to be sweeter, I'd say flats all the way.

lots of girls where there hair straight and layers parted to the side with side bangs, but some darker people have the curlly hair and it isnt like straight so for you i would suggest corn rolls maybe? i dont think you will make the other girls gelous like you are hoping at least not the older ones

I too have a round face. My hairdresser told me that short stacked styles with the hair tucked behind your ears will do the job because it will be away from your face and have height on top to make your face not look so round. an off center (side) part is also good. dont go for styles that are right at your chin, go for ones that are below or above. i don't know how long your hair is but a shoulder length hair with some highlights would be pretty... you don't want it too long, but you want it at a length that's not too short, so shoulder length or a lil' bit shorter like a bob would be suitable.
it will naturally look chubby because your hair is straight and it doesn't frame your face anymore it just falls flatly. i suggest getting layers especially in fron so that the layers can properly fram your face while kinda covering your cheeks and the sides of your face.

I have the exact same hairstyle. Well it's blonde, past my shoulders and wavy. I wear it scrunched and straightened. Most of the time I straighten it. It just depends on where you're going and how much time you want to spend on your hair. My hair is thick and it takes forever to straighten it so when I'm in a hurry I scrunch it. Sometimes I style it in different parts just to change it up.

I used this VO5 brand hair styling wax (UK brand) and it seriously will not come out! I've washed my hair a few times already, once with baking soda, and I've blowdried it a million times. I've tried brusing/combing it out, and I even waited a day to see if that would help. I think some of it came out, but mostly it just spread to the back of my head. Help?
What I always do is used warm water to wash off the wax first, then when you shampoo your hair ensure that even the scalp is properly washed... Wash off with warm water still and use conditioner to soften the hair... ^^,
Do not use cold water for the wax would just harden some more ^^,
anyways have you checked on someone a specialist maybe, it could be that the wax you are using is to strong for you that is why it is hard for you to rinse them out
or I could suggest that you use less amount of it in styling your hair so that you will not have a hard time to rinse them ^^, Report It

There is software like this, but I've never found it for free. Just Googling will help you find where you can buy the software, though. With long hair, layers are never a mistake. It will update your look and make everything fresh and healthy. Bangs are a pretty big commitment, though a lot of people look great in them. You probably don't need software to make these decisions...

I also have long brownish blond hair. I usually wear it in a ponytail, with pieces of my hair clipped back, down, blowdried or straightened, scrunched with gel, or in a ponytail scrunched. I don't think buns would work because your hair is too long, but you can wear it if you want to. Hope this helps.

dont use any leave in conditioners and gels they arent good for your hair i am using garnier fructis and found it quite effective my hair are a bit curly
My daughter has curly hair and I use Suave on her's. Yes, its cheaper than most others but its also really good and works without all the buildup. May I also suggest VO5 leave in conditioner. This hepls repair any styling damage before it even gets started and won't weigh hair down.

Okay don't cut it that much shorter, try straightening it and getting a bit shorter layers on top so that you have more volume on the top of your head. Get GHDs. They cost around 鎷?00, but they can last a life-time. Don't buy cheapy brands that take 30 minutes to heat up, GHDs take about 4 secounds. Believe me, it's worth it. Anyway, i don't recommend getting a fringe, it doesn't suit everybody and your eyes are too pretty to be covered up. Don't dye your hair black, it might not suit your skin tone. I am white, and i have black hair. But it only suits me because it's natural. I wouldn't suit having platinum blonde hair (which makes me sad because i want to try it) simply because my skin tone wouldn't suit it. Anyway am i getting off topic here.. yes. If you are prepared to straighen your hair everyday, which i know of many people who have your style of hair that do so, then getting a fringe and choppy layers(not going too short though) might be an idea. I have... contradicted myself. I don't think this makes sense but im going to post it anyway.

I always just wear my hair straight and down. The back is about to the end of my neck, and my bangs are a little bit lower than my eyes. I would really like instructions on a poofy style, or on something curly and how to get it curly. I cannot go to a hairstylist, so I am looking for something I could do at home. Try ponytails...they will look nice with your bangs.
blow dryer, hot curlers and hair spray. get a bunch of different combs and brushes and spend an evening playing around.
Well, you can always buy hair dye from the department store to give yourself a new look. I'm not sure you could curl hair that short, but other possibilties might take longer. You could grow out your bangs, or wait a month or so for grow out a little more and tie it back in a ponytail or braids. For a poofy style, buy mousse ( I think thats how its spelt!) its stuff that looks like shaving cream. you can buy it at any department store in the hair aisle. anyway, you squirt it out until you have a portion the size of a dime. spread it on your fingers and run your fingers through your hair. after that, take a comb and gently run it through the underside of your hair. if its too poofy, run the comb through all of your hair. and voila!

Try curling it for the poofyness. If u dont like that look than curl it but the brush it out. make sure ur hair is dry. also try out some new shampoos and moouses that make ur hair volumaized.
When my hair was short like yours, I use to pin my bangs back with bobby pins. When I gathered up my bangs, I would pinch the ends together and then kind of shove it forward so it made the poof and then I would stick a few more bobby pins in my hair to make it stay that way. This way the poof is at the front of your head.
If you want to just put your hair half up, half down, if its long enough to get into a ponytail, you can just rat the back of your hair using a fine tooth comb. this will give you a poof also. If you do this, sweep your bangs over to one side, it will look much better.

You can take hot rollers and curl your hair. Leave them in until they are cold and unroll. The curls will be beautiful. Also, you can add curls in your ponytail. Hope I helped!

you can go get it perminatly straightend so you wouldnt have to straighten it everyday, also you can put it up in a high bun or something and then let the access stuff just hang off the bun. thats pretty. or you could just let it hang down and that is also pretty too. :)

Styling products can build up and cause a flakiness that looks like dandruff. You can remove it by washing your hair with baking soda in addition to (before) your regular shampoo.

Do you remeber those pony stylers, that had a loop in and like a long handle coming down from the hooo, you slide the handle throught the pony tale then push the hair through the loop and pull through. It then looks like a little pattern in the hair but it looks like the hair is down if you know what I mean. Ive tried it and It looks ok all I need is a few slides to make it stand out but by the time I have my veil on and tiara you might no see it anyways but it does look nice to me it does anyways but whst to you guys think.

I'm not having my hair done professionally- I hate going to the hairdressers too! I'm going to have my hair down, and just coax my natural wave a little. You do whatever you want to do! Like you say, if your plannning on having a veil anyway no-one will see!

I think that you should either have it straightened and down because that looks really pretty with a veil and tiara or even though you would like to surprise everyone and have it down if you didn't go for the straightened hair you could have it in a pretty bun with a little bit of a tuft coming off the bottom a bit.

get a hair doughnut which you can get from most high street stores and a load of hair pins to match your colour. put your hair into a pony tail and pull the hair through the doughnut,secure with the hair pins get sections of hair spray with hair spray the straighten them so they go hard.then loop them round and pin them to her doughnut. If you have got long hair you may have to curl them round twice.then when all your hair is pined to the doughnut put a long clip just under the hair piece,bout half way up from your nape and where the hair starts to curl to your head. Get on with diamonties on and a sparkle.I done this style in my hair when I went on a cruise.It looked wicked people was asking if I had it done in a salon. good luck and enjoy your special day. I think it would look cute if you curled your hair and then put it up in a half pony. that's what I would probably do.
If you have medium to longer length hair, the standard for semi-formal to formal is to have something done that is much different from a day to day style. Hence, updo's.
An updo that leaves some of your hair dangling down the back (nape) of your neck is usually very flattering to all face and body shapes. In fact, leaving some hair dangling down diminishes any harsh lines that a total updo can leave and generally is more slimming if this is a concern.
Don't try to do this yourself though unless you have practiced several times before the date! If you do it yourself, have someone there to help you with the back and to insure the bobby pins are hidden. It could end up being a panic session and frustration. Find a salon that REGULARLY does updos. (Ask any parent of a high school age girl to find one) or another often great and inexpensive source is to go to a beauty school. Make sure you ask for a advanced student to work on your hair. An experienced person will take about 1-2 hours to do a beautiful look.
Make sure to tell them if you want braids and curls etc... incorporated into the look and whether or not you want all of your forehead hair pulled tightly or loosely back etc.

It depends on what type of things you are trying to do for your hair. My suggestion would be to first ..what is your hair type.
If you have dry hair, I would suggest always using a leave in conditioner before applying any type of styling aid.
Use Gels for controling hair acheiving smoothness or taming hair into particular styles.
Mousses %26amp; Volumizing aids or more for added volume or thin/fine hair.
Then there are other types of promenede(shine and smoothing), waxes(fliiping out or spiking hair) and other various forms of products( root lifters, texture paste, hairsprays, shine agents)
First.. do some re-search on what type of style or look you are trying to achieve, and always read the back of the product.
Make sure its a product that will complaint the style you are achieving and if you have any permed or color treated hair, make sure you always use a shampoo and conditioner for permed or colored treated hair.
If you use an over the counter product, and it doesn't have ingredients for protecting permed or colored treated hair. It may strip the hair and dull the color or dry out the hair.
Im a licensed hairdresser and I have tried over the counter products compared to salon products. And there is a big difference. First the styling aids will not harm your hair. As long as you use a really good shampoo and conditoner, you will be fine. Second, it does make a difference in your hair if you don't use a good shampoo and conditioner, plus, don't wash if every day.
If you go a day and let the natural oils stay in your hair, your hair will feel alot softer and smoother.
Too much shampooing can dry out your hair.
Don't use really HOT water when you wash your hair.
"TIP: When rinsing out the conditioner, make the water cool, it will give your hair added softness,shine and I notice it gives it alot of bouce and fullness"

omg, I have the same hair as u! ahahah. I find the best thing to do is go get a scene hair cut- yes I know that sounds very lame- but just don't spike it all up and ****. With all the different layers, you can braid your hair, put it in a pony tail or a messy bun, and it always comes out looking pretty good. =] hope that helps.

Okay when reading what your skin looks like and your hair already does, i am going to tell you to cut your hair to your shoulders. Get layers and then flip it out or you can straighten it too, either way looks great. I use to have my hair just past my boobs and now that all changed, i got my hair cut to my shoulders and flip it out and occasionally i straighten it, when i don't have a lot of time...Little extra, to make it even cuter get side swept bangs! You can always pull them back if you get sick of them!
well the beauty of long hair is when u want a change u can cut it off! ps not the right thing to do! well i advise having cut to just below shoulder length and having a cute fringe to make ur forehead seem shorter thats a cute straight style. to add more volume and wow factor though have layers put in further down. if u have blond or lightish hair u could even get some goldy or honey highlights to make ur hair seem big and fabulous

I say keep it long. Cut it to just below your shoulders with long layers. You could get the sideswept bangs. I have them and they are accually quite versital b/c you can pin them up if you don't want to wear them down. Add face framing layers so that the bangs are nice and soft.

I have short hair and I like to style it using hair gel. However, the gel I am using right now (which I apply in the morning) loses its hold in the late afternoon. The amount of gel I use is about the size of a quarter (25cent).
Is there a product for guys that offers a firm hold and last for a long time. I also need a good leave-in hair conditioner.
you don't need a leave in conditioner, your hair seems dry because your using gel. Gel is high in alcohol which dries out hair. So get a nice light conditioner like American crew, and it smells nice to and its just for guys. Then get the pomade from American crew, it holds great and you can even mess up your do and put it right back into place all day long. Its doesn't dry out your hair and it doesn't flake. Don't worry, even though you can mold your hair around the wind can't. American Crew can be found in many salons and is reasonably priced and lasts a very long time. They also carry gels with little amount of alcohol if you prefer the gel but i enjoy using the pomade and cremes on my male clients and have never had a complaint. Best of luck!
Use Bed Head products or Got2B...they have good waxes and gels you can put on your hair that would last the wholeeee day!

Depends on whether you have straight hair, curly hair, oily hair, dry hair.
Infusium 23 is a great spray on leave in conditioner, but don't just rely on that. I find the Pantene product line or the Fructis line of hair products quite good and they smell nice and they have different strengths of holding depending on the type of hair you have.
Check out your local hair care section sometime in the grocery store or the pharmacy of a large chain store. The middle price range tends to be better than the cheap-*** version. If you pay for high end you get high end at least with conditioners and styling products. Shampoo is shampoo. You should pay more for the other types of products.
Garnier Fructis Style Super Stiff Gel Ultra Strong.
It doesn't cause any build up, and your hair will stay stiff all day. It will give your hair a healthy shine. I love it!
It's pretty cheap too. I average $3.85 on a bottle.
I have a gel but you can only buy it in mexico or in any store that sells mexican stuff it is called Punky Junky. There is another one but it is pretty nasty it it called Moco de Gorilla. In inglish it is called Buger of a Gorilla. I used it one time it was good but it felt like it was goo.

Don't use gel. As you already know by other answers it has alcohol and dries out your hair. Use a product called Malleable Molding Paste from Kiehl's (do a search on the Internet to find the stores). Have to say it's more expensive though.
