Marilyn Monroe Hair style help......?

I am dressing as Marilyn Monroe for halloween and I am having hair issues. I bought a wig but because my hair is thick it is not wanting to look right. So my first question because of my hair being so long and tick how can I hide it underneith without bulging?

Now my other question is I have just past sholder length dark blonde hair, if I can't get the wig to work, what would you suggest on getting my hair to at least look somewhat like hers???

Thanks in advance for the help!

i live in se/sw dc for a few months. living with black people taught me a lil something about wigs and hiding thick hair. see if u can get it braided first. like cornrolls or something the smaller the braids the easier the wig will fit and the hair will hide. if u dont know anyone, try a hair salon. might be expensive to have it done but it will work. but try a couple black friends if anyone. even a black guy might know how to. u never know. ask around. straightback cornrolls work best

I was thinking a while on this one, try a pair of "JUST MY SIZE"

pantyhose, pull one leg over your head, pull all the way down until you get to the toe area, cut somehere around where you knee should be....you should cut first, and what ever you have left of stocking, just roll it up.....try wig on....OR go to the hairdresser that afternoon for styling. Have fun!
