okay my hair is naturally curly and its kinda short touches my shoulders but i think its really ugly so i put tons of makeup on so i actually look like a girl im not ugly its just my hair and my parents wont let me straighten my hair because they say curly hair is a gift! so what should i do with it "oh and my hair takes like a year to grow five inches"

Calm down. You can still get a couple of hairstyles try putting you hair up in a high ponytail and wear a head band. also go on google and type in curly hairstyles some good stuff may come up i tryed it before.

wow! i hate short hair. well on some ppl. so yea. just put some bobby pins on abd just put a much of hairspray on. trust me. HOT!

try braids they work for everyone...if that dose'nt work use greece and water and swoop 2 bangs in the front and have a bang in the back with a pony tail on the top

i would give anything to have curly hair!!! lol i have pin straight hair...i would suggest trying different products like...garnier fructis paul mitchell or check out naturallycurly.com

Oh wow you cant straighten it? That sucks! You should deep condition it and just keep it moisturized at all times so your curls are well defined and you wont look like a frizz ball! And dont use a soft brush on curls cuz itll just make them puffy and undefined.

Have you tried a friends hair straightner to see how your hair looks when it is straightened? If you like the look, do you think your parents let you straighten every once in awhile? Not everyday, but ya know, every so often?

I have curly hair so I know how you feel!

1st hair style- French braids

2nd style- extensions (only until your hair grows to how you like it!)

3rd style- high pony tail

4th style- wear it curly, put some (not to much) hair products in it meant to enhance curly haired beauty!

curly hair can be beautiful. I believe no one has the right to tell you how to wear your hair cloths or makeup. You have the right to freedom of expression. You should be able to straighten your hair if you want to. I naturally have a fro. I straighten my hair every day. Especially when it was short. I understand your pain. Do you have a blow drier? If you do you could straighten it that way. All you have to do is separate it in to sections, use a flat brush, and blow dry it while brushing your hair straight. If I were you I would find a way to get around that constricting rule. Your parents need to understand that you have the right to decide how you want to wear your hair. Take a stand you need to let them know they can't control you.
