Are "wet-to-dry" straightening/styling irons worth it?

You know, those hair styling or straightening irons that you can use when your hair is damp or when it's dry. Do they work well? Can anyone suggest a good iron that works well?

I don't trust the ones you can use on wet hair. I've had one before and didnt like it at all. It's very bad to straighten your hair while it's wet, so I don't belive in those kinds of products working without damaging your hair completely.

i wouldn't recommend one. My sister and i used one but it didn't really work well. Also, straightening your hair isn't good for your hair to begin with. The straighteners that you use when hair is wet, is 10 times worse.

i still straighten my hair every day though =]

they work well but just for a normal straightener. they do not work well on wet/damp hair. it takes 4ever to do and its all puffy and frizzy when your done and its so hard to fix it. i would just stick with blowdrying and then straightening or at least letting your hair air dry first

they really damage the hair.

you should air dry the hair first and then straighten it
